What is your question?

Dash panel says to repair shop for coolant problems. I checked coolant and added about 16 oz of coolant. Panel still says go to repair shop! I don't have any overheating problems but panel cooling light remains on!

What makes this problem better or worse?

I would say with a vehicle like that -- just follow the process and have it inspected. Something is still going on that needs to be resolved. Not worth risking major damage. Also, being low 16 ounces of coolant is concerning -- where did it go? It's not a consumable fluid.
