Hello, The Cayman has a release lever behind the headlight on the passenger side. It is very thin, and is a galvanized color. The better way to go: in the fuse box by the drivers left foot, look in the top right corner after removing the cover, there you will see a picture of a car with the hood open. Pull that out, connect a jump-box or another 12v battery like so: Ground (black) to anything metallic within reach, door hinge, striker for the door latch, and the positive side goes to the metallic sides of the part you pulled from the fuse panel. Then, pop the hood normally.
