Pontiac Grand Prix 2008 won't shift into drive. Only in 2 or 1 on shifter...auto

Is tranny bad or cylinoid? Car goes into park... reverse...and will go in 2 or 1 on shifter. And accelerate. But in drive and in 3 it sits still and revs like in neutral
