seems to happen ocassionally when driving , no unusual noises. sometimes car will not respond when trying to accelrerate..seems to be ok after pressing on gas a few times
What makes this problem better or worse?
worse if cold and only driven for a short distance

Hello, sounds like a possible air / fuel ratio concern. Like too much or not enough air when accelerating in conjunction with available fuel delivery. Testing is required - checking fuel pressure at the rail is important, and then also checking for any air box or air hose leaks that could allow unmetered air into the engine for example is important. Testing, hands on, will help resolve the concern.
