What is your question?
I turned on the switch for a few seconds to let the fuel pump prime. Then, when I turned the switch to crank the engine, I lost all electrical power, not even dome light. I didn't have time to check fuses because I had to go to work (took my wife's car). Battery is less than two years old, alternator good.

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Losing all electrical power in your 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix is a head-scratcher! Given that your battery is relatively new and the alternator is good, there are a couple of common culprits to consider. Start by checking the battery terminals; they might be loose or corroded, which can prevent power from getting through. Also, check the ground connection—if it's not solid, it could be causing your electrical issues. If everything looks good there, a blown main fuse could be to blame, so don’t skip checking those fuses when you get a chance. If none of that works, it might be worth having a pro take a look to rule out any deeper electrical gremlins.
