ABS ligh is on

This means there are diagnostic fault codes stored in the ABS Control Module. When you get those codes, only them will you have an idea as to what to check.

I had this exact occurance five years ago. I actually had a chipmonk or field mouse eat the wire that is up under the front bumper. There are a couple of wires there and you should be able to see if one is cut or broken. The mechanic put the car on a lift and found it. He soldered the wire ends together and then taped the connection. This was five years ago and it has worked since.
