The interior hood release latch is broken. What do I do?

If the interior plastic lever broke, you’ll need to access the cable itself. You might be able to grab the remaining part of the cable with pliers and give it a tug to pop the hood. If that doesn’t work, you may need to get under the car and manually release the latch from underneath by reaching up with a long screwdriver or hook tool. Once you’ve got the hood open, replacing the lever is relatively easy.
