I have a Pontiac grand am 2005 the only way I can start it is by giving it a little bit of gas but once I let go of the gas it dies HELP PLEASE
How long has your 2005 Pontiac Grand Am had this problem?
we have had it for a month wasn't able to drive it because of the license plates until today the security light is off

Sounds on the surface like a fuel and air ratio concern. Too much air getting into the engine without being controlled can cause a fuel starvation concern and a stall or difficult starting situation. Other things can cause the problem, so a full engine performance diagnostic will be needed to find out what is happening for sure. In the meantime, ensure all vacuum hoses are connected and properly routed and not broken, and ensure the air cleaner box is closed as it should be, and the air tube is free of splits and tears.
