Thank you, for your response. I had it towed to a car repair shop. Told him what the situation was. He put some meter up to the car and said it was getting fuel through the system...and then told me that my timing chain needed replaced, and the engine...that some of the teeth from timing chain had gotten into the engine. My Step-daughter had just driven the car 360 miles roundtrip the day before...hard to believe that the complete engine needs to replaced...when the car had been driving, for the most part fine. The timing had been off...but, the car was driving fine the a.m. that it ran out of gas. Like I mentioned my daughter had driven the car the day before, and when I got into it the gas light was on...and I got within a few miles of the house and it died... Someone had told me that you should never let those cars run out of gas.

right, like I told you about the pump needing gas as a lubricant. as far as the motor, get a second opinion. Roy
