How do I replace dash defrost vent with it warped around it a little bit?

I know the dashboard warping is nothing new and I’m not necessarily worried about that right now. Biggest thing is trying to get that defrost vent covered up so there isn’t just an open vent. Any ideas as to how I can accomplish fixing it? Also, the dashboard is really easy to work with when it’s warm so I was wondering if double sided gorilla tape would be enough to hold it down to put a new vent cover on?
