3.4 L replaced thermostat after it suddenly stopped blowing hot air. I believe I got all air out of system. Still not working correctly. No obvious leaks etc. Would changing belt do any good?

Ok..what is best way to do it? I have service manual it just isn't very clear on doing it step by step. Not sure if cooling fans have been turning on either. Manual mentioned something about marks on tensioner, that indicate the belt being worn out. Thanks for the help
