Hello, the computer won't say anything is the failure. You may have a trouble code that indicates a concern around the canister purge valve, but that only indicates that readings provided weren't as expected. Doesn't mean the valve is faulty -- although it could be. And it doesn't mean that the code has anything to do with your "putting along" concern, although it could. The danger is throwing parts at a vehicle based off of guesses from trouble codes. DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes) don't condemn parts -- EVER. They indicate that concerns with certain vehicle systems were identified and need further troubleshooting. They are clues to the ultimate resolution, not the resolution itself.
How would I find the true problem cause I'm going through over 20 dollars in gas in like 2 days car normally should last about at least 3 to 4 days and I normally only drive to work and back and that's it beside appointments
A true diagnostic test needs to be performed, analyzing engine performance data. Fuel, spark, emissions -- all needs to be checked. Fuel trims -- for the oxygen sensors -- to determine if there is an air intake problem. Too much to consider via this forum, hands on testing is required.
