how do you realign your timing chain. and is the tensioner a spring or hydraulic

there is a hole in each camshaft gear align with hole in block put a drill bit through sprocket into hole on the crank there's a mark on the sprocket align it with the one on the block put chain on and yes the tensioner is hydraulic
