Service Engine Soon light is on and heat is not working

What is your question?

My Service Engine Soon light just came on about 4 days ago and today, the first chilly day, I tried to turn the heat on. The temp gauge was right in the middle and the heat did not work. I'm hoping it's not something super expensive. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Need to hook up a scanner and do a diagnostic on your car. There should be at least one trouble code. It will take us to the right direction to figure out the problem. Zee
