driver side door latch

What is your question?

My driver side door will not open. Brought it to garage and they said that the latch is broken? They also said the lock motor is attached to this latch. I can not find anything on this part. Is there another name for it? They quoted me a price of 300 to fix it but I don't know if that is correct since I can not find anything on the "latch". Please let me know if there is another name this part goes by. Thank you.
