Engine cranks, no start, no fire at plugs, no sound from fuel pump. 3300cc-V6

Not engine control computer causing issue. Ignition switch problem. Once key is turned past the run position and is engaged into the start position just slightly without engaging the starter the dash lights and other accessories work. If key is turned to the point it engages starter and returned back to the sweet spot at the beginning of start position car stays running without starter being engaged. Pulled ignition switch from the rear of the ignition key cylinder and tested it and it has a worn spot where it goes from run to start. The ignition key cylinder operates freely without the ignition switch installed and has no hanging point. Ordered new ignition switch and waiting for its arrival. PCU/ECU is about a $160.00 part without memory card and the ignition switch was only $41.00. Amazing we never noticed the switch was worn out before now!
