Why is my g8 keep say reduce power and check engine light

What is your question?

I have a Pontiac g8 and it keep saying reduce power check engine light,I think when I run the car to long...but then different codes keep jumping up on it...then sometimes it will cut off.. and I have to let it sit a minute then it will start running back fine
