how do i reset maintenance required light

Hello, It has to be shut off with a diagnostic scan tool. The dealer originally was the only one with the equipment to do it, but there are multiple systems out there are available to technicians and consumers. The light may be on due to an EGR service being requested, changing the charcoal canister, or replacing O2 sensors being requested.
