i have a 2000 neon ive changed the speed sensor and the speedo cluster and it still does not work it just jumpes around every now and then but it just jumps to 120 then comes back down

I fixed the same problem on 1999 neon.I had to remove the cluster, remove the circuit board and resolder the plug on the circuit board of the cluster where the power cable come in. I looked with the naked eye and was fine but , when I used a power 10 magnifier, I saw they where all cracked. Since I did that 2 month ago, the problem did not occur again. This could be a wiring problem, or the circuit board where the speedometer is connected.
