My labor guide says it takes .5 hours to replace which implies the air bags in the steering wheel does not need to be disabled but the instructions do say disconnect the battery. Autozone have some popular workshop manuals for free on line once you register (for free) on their website http://bit.ly/autozone_repair_info. and get an online repair manual subscription.
