under hood left side by the fender. it is not compatable to code readers dor obd 2. Roy

no free code check for obd 1 systems. you can get your own codes by cycling the key off and on 3 times and after the third time, the check engine light will do a series of flashes. code 12 is normal, and at the end code 55 will flash indicating end of sequence. its the ones in the middle that are important.
