Passager side window stopped working

A friend of mine drove his van from DC to Bakersfield California. To take care of his 94 yr old mother. He's starting to have problems with his passenger side window. He said he checked the fuses and they where still good... Both windows roll up slowly and sometimes you gotta pull it cause they slide off track and you have push it back. But now it just won't do nothing.. What else could be wrong and how can he fix it?
