What is your question?
Hello out there! I'm driving a '97 Cutlass Supreme and there's this annoying creaking sound coming from the rear of the car, I assume it's the suspension 'cause on rough roads it sounds like it's gonna fall apart! What might be causing this? Some guy told me that the springs in the back on this car are leaf springs. Should I get new leaf springs? Tell me what ails it. Thanks! Steve

The rear suspension of your 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme uses one transverse mounted leaf spring, the spring could be making noise but that is not very common. The most common problem would be to have one of the 4 lower strut links bent and rubbing on the spring. If look under the vehicle, a bent link would be pretty obvious. If you can see nothing wrong then you may need the help of a quality repair shop. Please use the following link to find one near you - nhttp://repairpal.com/oldsmobile-repair-in-lynn-massachusetts.
