i replaced my upper and lower intake car idles high to 300rpm then shuts off

i just put an upper and lower intake gasket in a 3100 olds cutlass supreme. i also replaced the plugs, wires, coolant, oil and air filter when i put the car back together and started the car up the rpm's go right up too 300rpm and shuts off i dont know what the problem could be will someone please help me
