I've replaced the intake gasket ,radiator/cap and thermostat and vehicle is still operating at a high temperature water pump is about year and a half old coolant fills the overflow at idle the heat blows cool at times and gets hot upon acceleration also the guage stopped working
On the 3.1 L there is a bleeder valve by the left front valve cover. You cannot have air in the cooling system or you'll overheat. Loosen the screw and fill the radiator up into you see no air, only fluid coming out the bleeder then tighten and top off. May have to do it a couple times and with the car running so the car can circulate the air out.
