car cutting off

a lot of things have been tried so far, a NEW ERG VALVE, cleaning out the old one, changing out the MAP, cleaning out the fuel injectors.They asked what have I've done within the last 5-6months,I put on a new coil pack, plugs and wires. I'm looking at the possibility of a bad alternator which hasn't been replaced since July 11 2005 . From what I'm told I have NO vacuum leaks.I have replaced a FUEL FILTER and a NEW PCV. Should I have them check my air filter & the air filter box, which is held on with NO SCREWS,just zip ties.The throttle body was cleaned again also

as of today my car has been in the shop for 120 days ( 4 months ).I was told that it needed an a/t control solenoid, which they said they do NOT do that kind of work, which back in 2015 they DID install a transmission for me & I could NOT see why they couldn't do the work. They said they would tow it back to my house, which with all the other work that was done,it wouldn't be safe to drive, but they gave me an transmission shop that they used. I didn't heard from them in about 1 1/2 weeks so I called & they told me that THEY were taken it to the transmission shop.The guy that was suppose to do this gotten sick.This is where I am right now. I do think that @ this ponit that I should have to pay for any other service since it hhas been there since April 9,but the state inpection.So what do you think they should do?
