As soon as I turn the ignition and start it, the RPMs immediately raise too high and end up close or over the redline zone.

Hello, sounds like a lot of unexpected air getting into the engine, causing the fuel to richen and causing the engine speed to increase way beyond where it should. Hands on testing is needed to find out why. Is there an air box or air tube leak? Is there an intake gasket leak? Something else?
