gasket replaced , engine hesitates

sounds like a laundry list. Why you have had to replace the intake gasket twice in 5 years tells me that it wasn't done properly the first time or it was misdiagnosed. And why lifter replacement? If the old lifters were worning due to water and coolant in the oil, I would have replaced the cam, at least, or the complete motor assembly. There's no telling what other worn bearings and engine component surfaces are dammaged at this point.
