how do i take out old air filter,so i can replace with new filter?

Remove the large hose, clamp on each end, connecting the filter (cylindrical cannister) to the air intake. This will expose a wingnut which holds the lid on the filter. Remove the wingnut. Remove the lid. Lift out the filter element.
