I have a 2013 Nissan Maxima S 3.5L. Blew compressor at 120,000 miles. Replaced compressor at 130,000 miles in September 2017. A couple days ago car starts AC blows cold for 5-10 minutes and then cuts off. When AC compressor is running gauge at low pressure connection reads normal, when it cuts out gauge at low pressure connection is very high. AC clutch repeatedly tried to turn on every couple minutes but would cut out. I'm perplexed. When car is Parke over night it starts right back up with ac blowing cold and then randomly cuts out and works intermittently. Seems like you have the same problem. Any suggestion would be appreciated
Hello, testing is the only way to find out what is happening. The temperature control mechanism inside the car could be a concern. The system may have lost refrigerant for some reason, and any related leak should be sought after. The electronic portion of the system or compressor operation may be compromised, and should be checked. A good technician certified in refrigerant handling will be able to troubleshoot your vehicle with little difficulty.
