Why did replacing rear wheel bearing cause car to go into limp mode?

Had my rear wheel bearing making a noise, replaced it. Now car acts like it's trying to run in limp mode. My car ran perfectly until we replaced the wheel bearing. Any ideas of what could be wrong??

Pulling down in 2nd gear makes better, hitting brakes makes it worse

We have already tried that, could it be an ABS sensor down?
