Hello, was the message a notification for the need for regular maintenance, or a warning of low oil level or oil pressure? I would check the engine oil dipstick with the engine not running for a period of time to ensure the oil in the engine has settled into the oil pan and an accurate level reading can be done. If the oil is low, have the vehicle checked for a properly performed oil and filter change, any leaks or a problem with the filter. This could also be causing a burning smell, if there was leakage or even a double gasket on the oil filter causing a leak, or even residual spilled oil from the service itself.
