What is your question?
The dash lights flicker sometimes. And sometimes when I’m driving down the highway, the acceleration decreases. I’ve taken it to the Nissan shop and they say nothing is wrong. Now it won’t crank at all without being jumped off. Even then when the cables are removed it shuts down completely
How long has your 2004 Nissan Maxima had this problem?
The whole 3 years I’ve had it

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like you've got quite the electrical gremlin on your hands! If your Maxima isn’t staying cranked even with a new alternator, and it shuts down right after removing the jumper cables, the issue might not be the alternator but rather a failing battery or a bad connection somewhere. Those flickering dash lights and highway acceleration issues hint at a possible wiring or grounding problem, which can be tricky to diagnose. Even though the dealership didn't find anything, it's worth double-checking the battery cables, grounds, and main fuse. Sometimes, a simple corroded connection can cause all sorts of headaches. It's also worth noting that I've seen numerous alternators fail right out of the box!
