Does the 1997 Maxima GLE take regular or premium gasoline? Also, I have noticed a problem with the air conditioner not working. No air blows out of the front vent, although you can hear the air conditioner itself operating. Could this be a compressor problem?

You can use regular 87 octane in your Maxima. I've been using regular in my Pathfinder since new in 2001, and have seen nary a problem. I'm not sure about the AC issue. Sorry! Hopefully, someone else can answer that question.
