What type transmission fluid does the manufacturer recommend?

I just had the fluid replaced in my auto transmission, even though the automatic dipstick says Mercon, I would actually opt for the Castrol Transmax fluid, made specically for nissan directly stated on the bottle. You may pay 2 bucks more per quart, but I would take the fluid designed for nissan automatics. check your local Autozone or Advanced for the fluid.
