what causes of engine gas flooding?

Your truck has port fuel injection. It could flood/get too much fuel if the coolant temperature switch that measures engine coolant temperature reads incorrectly or if the air filter is totally restricted. A stuck fuel pressure regulator could also make the engine run excessively rich.

buddy i have had that same prblem and i found out that the pick up is out of time try notto get it to far out of time and if so you will never get it back just right again
