What is your question?
At 60,000 miles, a local mechanic changed my transmission oil for me, I believe it was Valvoline brand, and ever since then, I've been getting the overheating message while I drive at highway speeds. My car goes into limp mode and makes a whining noise when I step on the gas, so I need to pull over for 10 minutes and let it cool down. I am going to get the ENEOS CVT fluid this time around and change the transmission oil to see if it helps. Would you recommend a flush or just to have it drained and refilled?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Slowing down or stopping to let the transmission cool down
How long has your 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport had this problem?
A month

You need to find out if the tech used the proper fluid or not. If he did not it needs to be completely flushed out but I'm worried that the damage has already been done. I'd go back to the shop and find out the details before moving forward. Alex
I called the shop and they don't have a record of what fluid they used but said it shouldn't be causing issues and the mechanic should have used the right fluid. They also said if the wrong fluid was used, my transmission would have died by now (it's been about 20,000 miles since I've had it changed). I'm going to do a flush just in case, but will I need to change the filter and everything as well? Or would I just need to get the correct fluids?
I am currently experiencing exact same problem with my 2013 Lancer. Were you eventually able to fix the issue?
