Where is the fuel filter located in my Mitsubishi montero sport LS 3.0 engine. ...my car is stuttering when I slow down n when I'm stopped at light. Was told it might be fuel filter.

I have a 98 MS and it is located on drivers side just inside chassis rail just ahead of fuel tank. New filter cost me about $30 and 20 mins to replace.
