I put a thin shim on inside of knuckle instead of the outside before I realized it went on the outside. Is that going to cause a problem?

Replaced CV axles on front of Montero Sport and realized I put a thin spacer on the inside of the knuckle and it was on the outside when I took it off. Need to know if I have to take it all apart to switch places, or will it be O. K. on the inside of knuckle behind the big spacer that is a brass?
