Last time I opened the hood had a hard time with the hood latch. Seemed hard to pry because of rust.

Hello, there is no real clear-cut answer here. Hands on attempts must be made and it will take some trial and error manually to open finding corroded components. See a body shop if you need more assistance. Good luck.
