What is your question?
My AC intermittently will start blowing hot air. Episodes only last less than 48 hours. There was a default code and the AC control panel was replaced but two days later it happened again. Cabin filter has been changed. There is no strange sounds and I can hear the two stage compressor kicking in but still hot air. And then it randomly starts working. Not correlating to a particular time of day when it starts/stops. Fuses are good.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing
How long has your 2015 Mini Cooper Countryman had this problem?
On and off for three months and once last year

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. Your concern definitely does not have anything to do with a cabin filter -- but it does sound like it could be climate control system related more than air conditioning system related. My suggest would be - operate the system, and even when blowing warm - check the hose from the compressor to the evaporator area -- is it cold? If it is cold and the air blows warm, you know it's a climate control issue, with warm air directed when cool is desired. At this point, you'll need to focus diagnostic steps on interior components of the climate control system. Hands on testings is needed. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area.
