What is your question?
I own a 2011 Mini Cooper Countryman which I purchased in 2016. For the past 2 months the battery has needed to be replaced. I discovered you must "save the codes" when replacing the battery so I purchased a "Schumacher Code Saver" which you plug into your existing OBD2 port. Well instead of replacing my battery I decided recharged it removing it from the vehicle for about 4hrs till it was 100% charged. I than reinstalled the battery in the MiniCooper and than disconnected the "Schumacher Code Saver" from the existing OBD2 port. I than started my car and "to my disappointment" none of the gages on the dash work i.e. lights, fuel, speedometer, tachometer or blinkers. The headlights and blinkers still work on the outside but there is no corresponding display on my dash. The car starts and drives but there is no indication on the dash as to my speed, fuel, rpms or warning signals for low oil, overheat or engine light. Can I repair this situation and if so - how and with what tools?
What makes this problem better or worse?
