What is your question?
My van isn’t shifting right. Has troubles going into drive. Reverse is good. Hesitates going up hill and over 50 mph. Drivetrain light comes on but there isn’t a code. Would like a picture or diagram exactly where the transmission speed sensor is located and how to get it.
What makes this problem better or worse?
If you go under 30mph not too many hesitations. Going over 50 or stepping down on the gas to go faster.
How long has your 2004 Mercury Monterey had this problem?
Few weeks

You say "Drive train light comes on but there isn't a code" - if there's a warning light on, there will definitely be a trouble code set. Do you have access to a proper diagnostic tool that will retrieve all codes? Do not guess at anything, including speed sensor concerns, without performing some essential hands on testing. Guessing may seem reasonable, but It really is not; you can cause more harm than good by replacing good parts based on a guess. A diagnostic tool operated by a trained technician can monitor things like speed output and also shift commands and the function of shift solenoids in the transmission.
