Gear shifter locked in park, how do i bypass

Hello, do your brake lights work -- even after switch replacement? It could be a wiring or wiring connector issue as well. The shift interlock is pretty basic. Ensure it has power - which will occur with your foot on the brake - and it will work. If it has power and does not work, and the ground wiring is OK, then the mechanism is of issue. This, however, would be quite unusual - so I'd be looking at the brake switch related wiring first.
