Comes and goes. When it is cooling it is really cold. Nice! Seems to be in controlling part of system. Poor function of "blend door"? Turning the ignition off and on will sometimes make the cooling start. Removing and replacing a battery cable has coaxed the cooling to start. What can I replace, repair or adjust? Car has new battery.
How long has your 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis had this problem?
One year. Repaired once by shop. Didn't last. expensive

Hello, too much difficulty in figuring out all the possibilities without hands on testing. There could be a cycle switch concern, a high pressure cut off switch issue, an intermittent coil performance issue at the compressor, or other concerns. There could be a condenser fan issue. There could be a temperature control issue, like temperature blend door as you mentioned. All requires testing hands on to find the culprit of your concern.
