how do i get my headlights to work my park lights come on but not my headlights

Oddly enough, the headlamp bulbs themselves may be both burned out. However, that seems odd and random. I would recommend having the headlight switch checked, as sometimes they can become faulty and overheat, causing the switch and wiring harness to melt a bit and cause all kinds of issues with the circuitry. A good first place to look.
