I'm trying to remove the original battery in this car. Disconnect cables fine. remove two bolts in front (bumper side) of battery fine. However there's some kind of involved retention "mess" on the back side. How do I get it out?
TIA

There is nothing across the top so it must be a block that holds the bottom of the battery down. I've never encountered something like this before. Battery is original...never removed since factory. TIA

Yeah, there should be just one fastener on the block. The block and bolt comes out, the battery comes right out.
Thanks! Sure enough! Came out quite easily then. God bless and have a Happy New Year 2011 the whole year through! Sincerely, Tom
