got new battery.engine will not turn over. car was running great before old battery died. car is in a garage for winter.never had a problem with car.in good shape for17 +years.

Hello, just for fun, check the inertia (fuel cut off) switch in the trunk. Not sure why it would have tripped, but if it has, it will cause the fuel supply to be stopped to the engine and allow the cranking without starting. Other than that, hands on testing using a Ford IDS diagnostic tool (or equivalent) will be needed to check for fuel delivery, ignition spark, air intake, emissions controls, engine timing and compression. www.repairpal.com/repair-shops
