my 2002 grand marquis LS goes in reverse but not drive

Hello. you may want to retrace your work and make sure the filter and necessary gaskets are attached properly. Also, ensure you have the proper level and type of transmission fluid added to the transmission. Beyond that, it is likely there is an internal mechanical failure preventing the vehicle from moving in forward gears. This is unfortunate - so check the top bits first!
