What is your question?
Tail lights, turn signals and hazards work fine. But my brake light wont turn on when pressing down on brake pedal. I also checked fuse and replaced them. I replaced the brake light switch behind pedal connected wires with electrical tape. Didn't have connectors and when i started car there was a Little spark and crackle. Used power indicator to see if it shorted out but it was still hot. If I do replace brake switch and Same result, what else can be the problem. Can't afford mechanic I'm trying to learn

Hello, Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. I think you are on the right track. In my experience, the brake light switch needs to be replaced but also the wiring connector. Using tape for the wires is not sufficient to resolve the concern. This is definitely just a guess but it's an educated one because this is not uncommon for this vehicle. Replacing a wiring connector is not something simple for the novice mechanic. It requires skill to make sure that you were doing it right and not causing a fire hazard. I know you don't want to spend money on a mechanic near you, but you might need to reach out for some advice at the very least. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
